TECHNOSAURS: ADAPTATIONS, Page 18
Posted by Kevin under Book #2: AdaptationsLet me give you a word of advice. Don’t try to maintain a full-time job, paint a house, attend a convention, spend time with your family, do illustration work, and draw a comic all in the same month. I tried that these past few weeks, and something had to give. Unfortunately, that something was Technosaurs. On the bright side, people still like me at work, my new house is nearing completion, I was able to promote T-saurs pretty heavily at the convention, and my family knows I love them.
Last week, I attended Life, The Universe, and Everything 2008. The convention was fantastic. I met a lot of great people and got to hang out with some good friends, like Darwin A. Garrison, Julie Wright, Howard Tayler, Robert Defendi, and Kevin and Karen Evans. I also visited with Gail Carson Levine, Brandon Sanderson, and Jessica Day George. Orson Scott Card was also a guest of honor, but unfortunately, our paths never crossed.
As a guest of honor, I was required to present a Main Address. I chose to speak about Using Sketchbooks to Enhance Creativity. It was the first time I have spoken often in the past, but never for 40 minutes, so this was a challenge for me. But, overall it seemed to go well and to be well received. I will post the gist of it at www.sketchbooksforkids.org .
The most disappointing thing about the convention was that it had to end. I definitely am looking forward to next year.

P.S. By the way, Technosaurs is in the comic spotlight at Indy Planet. Check it out. And feel free to leave a review. Pretty please.
