Report: Free Comic Book Day 2008
Posted by Kevin under EventsI spent yesterday in Provo at Dragon’s Keep celebrating Free Comic Book Day 2008. The event had many highlights. First, I was able to meet some new Technosaurs fans, which is always a pleasure. Second, I was able to hang out with Howard Tayler, who had graciously saved me some table space next to him, since I arrived later than the other guests (and yes, he managed to keep me laughing, all day). Third, I’m pleased to announce that you can now find Technosaurs, issue 1, on the shelves at Dragon’s Keep (and they’re all signed copies). And fourth, Howard introduced Chad Hardin and I to Sushi Ya in Orem. Like most people who haven’t really “experienced” sushi, I was under the impression that I did not like it. But, I must admit, I was wrong. The food was fabulous. Sushi Ya’s “Hurricane” roll is an absolute delicacy. Not to mention our . . . bartender (what do you call the server at a sushi bar?) . . . totally enrichened the experience by whipping up a couple of his own recipes that were simply amazing. All in all, it was a good day.
And, by the way, don’t forget to get your FREE download of Technosaurs, Issue 1, at WOWIO.com.
